YES I made it after a long season with a lot of dry/wet races.Last race of the Danish DRCMU championship is over after 7 rounds! I am 4wd national champion and 3rd overall in 2wd – I’m super happy with this result, cars and electronics has been very very good all season!

Already before the last race I knew I was already Champion in 4wd but I would still like to win the last race! The last race was a two day race, where we had 5 qualys and then 3 finals on Sunday. My XB4 powered by R1 wurks was totally on point Saturday to take 5 out of 5 TQ rounds!

In 2wd I worked all day long on better and better setup, and then the day ended with a TQ run, just in time to get the car dialed in for the finals!

Sunday was finals day, and in 4wd I could not find the same pace, as the car was harder to drive, and the weather was changing all the time! So Jan Larsen took the win on the day, and I got 3rd and Frederik Hovgaard got 2nd.

Overall standings on the raceday:

  1. Jan Larsen – Team C
  2. Frederik Hovgaard – Yokomo
  3. Mike Gosvig – XRAY – TQ
  4. Kim Nielsen – Schumacher
  5. Mathias Skaarup – Schmacher
  6. Christian Lassen – Schumacher
  7. Oliver Nielsen – Yokomo
  8. Martin Rasmussen – Schumacher

Overall Championships top 3:

  1. Mike Gosvig – XRAY XB4’16
  2. Frederik Hovgaard – Yokomo
  3. Jesper Rasmussen – Associated

2wd class I should beat the many times mutiple Danish champion and European champ Jonas Kaerup to take the 3rd spot on the overall season. – But Jonas was 1 place in front of me on the grid, I mounted a new set of tires on the car, and it was very very good! I was 3rd in the main but some small mistakes and a takeout would settle me to 4th in this main, Jonas got 4th.

2 final the train started I got a little tap in the rear from the start but I was back in 4th again after 3 laps, my car was dialed! Frederik Hovgaard the TQ man, crashed out so now Jesper was first Jonas in 2nd me 3rd, I began to push and I was soon very fast up at the front battle, after the chicane onto the straigths tabletop, Jonas touched Jesper, and I could brake and go just around the crash to take the lead!! I took the win with Jesper in 2nd! Jonas got 4th in this main, so he needed to be 1st in last main plus beat my fastest final time, the last final there was a little rain and I knew that the time wouldn’t be beaten! Frederik Won + also the title in 2wd, Congrats to Frederik Hovgaard! Jonas got 2nd in this main, and then I could see myself as 3rd on the day and 3rd overall! That was very good from start number 5!
