Race report by Max Götzl

The 2nd round of Euro Offroad Series 2016/17 took place last weekend in Poland, Warsaw.

I drove all four classes which are possible, the XB4, XB2, XT2 Stock and XT2 Modified.

Me and my dad went there on Thursday afternoon, our trip was long – about six hours.

On Friday morning we started the free practice and later controlled practice with XT2 Stock & XB2. In the afternoon it was XT2 Modified & XB4, in the evening we drove 2 qualifications only with XT2 and XB4.

In Truck Stock I have finished on 2nd position after the practice but in qualifications I got better with faster laps and bumped up to the 1st place. I won two A finals and finished overall 1st!

With XB2 I made a few mistakes in qualifications and got to the D-main on 9th place. Then I drove better and finished 5th.

With Truck Modi I got to A main after qualification, but didn’t have a chance to get better and finished 10th.

With XB4 I drove very fast for 3 continuous laps. In 1st qualification my car broke down, in 2nd I made a few mistakes, in 3rd I made good time but in 4th my car broke down again with very fast forecast. Again drove in D-main but now with 4WD. We didn’t know what the problem was, so I didn’t start D1. I won D2 with big lead but in D3 I made a mistake and didn’t win. Finished overall 34th.

Race report by Bruno Coelho

One more race finished. This time happened in Poland the 2nd round of EOS. Before the race our team met in Hudy Arena for some tests with our cars to try to develop and improve the performance once again. We worked hard in our 2WD and after some changes we finally got some good feedback from the cars. We are very happy about it that our cars were working very well at the Hudy Arena and at the EOS. Unfortunately, I had some bad luck in my qualifications that cost me the final A. Some issues with my servos and then some mistakes made me finish in final B. My pace was very good throughout all the finals finishing with same time as the Top 3 in the A main and winning the B main.

4WD – Everything went as I planned until the qualifications – I managed to get the TQ and the best lap of the race. In the finals it changed a little, many mistakes during the finals made me finish in 2nd position overall. In a few weeks we will start to work in our XRAY XB4’17 to make it even faster and easy to drive.

I want to congratulate Hupo for the great win with the XRAY XT2. I want to congratulate also Martin Bayer for the amazing work and development in our off road division making our cars better and better everytime.
