Arriving at the track here in Lostallo drivers were greeted with an abundance of colour from the hospitality areas, and the pits were buzzing with loads of activity.
\nThe weather was hot. Qualification started at 9am and soon after the sun peaked over the scenic mountains and shone down into the valley below.<\/p>\n
Many drivers found the earlier morning conditions suited them and many put their best run of the day in round 1.
\nAs the day wore on the temperature in the pits was 33c with a track surface temperature of a scorching 56c.
\nIn the Touring car class Bernard Alain Arnaldi was the driver on the top of the timing sheets after round 1 and stayed on top throughout Qualifying to claim the TQ .<\/p>\n
