Der Skanderborg RC Club war am vergangenen Wochenende Gastgeber des siebten und letzten Rennens der d\u00e4nischen Meisterschaft. Der Verein hatte einen brillanten Job gemacht. Es war ein gelungener Abschluss, um die Hallensaison zu beenden. Das letzte Rennen ist im Vergleich zu den anderen Rennen immer etwas anders. Normalerweise haben wir die M\u00f6glichkeit den ganzen Samstag zu testen und zu trainieren, aber nicht beim letzten Rennen.<\/p>\n

Der Samstag begann mit 3 L\u00e4ufen zum freien Training, gefolgt von 2 kontrollierten Trainingsrunden und 3\u00a0 Qualis, bevor die Finals stattfanden. Mehr berichtet Kevin Nielsen in der englischen Version.<\/p>\n

      Race report by Kevin Nielsen<\/p>\n

      Skanderborg RC club hosted the 7th and last round of the Danish Nationals this past weekend.\u00a0They had done a brilliant job, to make everything as nice and good as possible, so perfect place to end the indoor season. The last round is always a bit different compared to the other races. Normally we have the possibility to test and practice the whole Saturday, but not on the last race.<\/p>\n

      Saturday started with 3 rounds of free practice, followed by 2 controlled practice rounds, and 3 qual rounds.\u00a0I knew the the track, as I had the possibility to practice on it a few times, so thought we had a good setup for my XRAY T4. It was soon clear, that the time spent on the track paid off, as my car was very good as soon as grip came up.<\/p>\n

      I took both controlled practice rounds, and all qual rounds, so was very satisfied as I already had TQ.\u00a0The program for Sunday was like this, 1 time free practice, and 2 more qual rounds, followed by 3 finals. As I already had TQ, I decided to run the free practice and first qual, and then skip the last qual to save the tires. Taking all the qual rounds that I participating in, was very satisfying.<\/p>\n

      The finals also went very well, as I crossed the finish line as first car all 3 times.<\/p>\n

      This weekend could not have been better at all. Everything worked perfect, my XRAY T4 was running like a clock both days, so very pleased.<\/p>\n

      After receiving the trophy for the weekend, it was time to receive the trophy for the championship, where I ended 2nd overall. This season has been fantastic for me, and I\u2019m very happy with the results that I have achieved.<\/p>\n
