Seine Rivalen fanden keine Worte daf\u00fcr und schon gar keine Antwort auf der Strecke.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikanews.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Davide-Ongaro.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[177770]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-177771\" src=\"https:\/\/mikanews.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Davide-Ongaro-207x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mikanews.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Davide-Ongaro-207x300.jpg 207w, https:\/\/mikanews.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Davide-Ongaro.jpg 586w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 207px) 100vw, 207px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Der amtierende Europameister Robert Battle qualifizierte sich als Zweiter und war<br \/>\nDavides sch\u00e4rfster Rivale, obwohl er nicht unter 5 Sekunden R\u00fcckstand ins Ziel kam.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno Coelho\u00a0 \u00fcberraschte als Dritter,der von\u00a0Ty und Gord Tessman aus Kanada unterst\u00fctzt wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Der amtierende Weltmeister David Ronnefalk erwischte keine gute Qualifikation mit schlechter Reifenwahl und Fehlern, sodass mehr als\u00a0Platz 4 nicht drin war.<\/p>\n<p>Juan Carlos Canas folgte auf Platz 5.<\/p>\n<p>Der einzige Faktor, den keiner der Fahrer vermeiden kann, war die dr\u00fcckende Hitze,<br \/>\nmit bis zu 38C und die Chance, dass es am Finaltag noch hei\u00dfer wird. Ein echter Test f\u00fcr Fahrer und Technik, aber wer kann<br \/>\nDavide noch stoppen? rounds of<br \/>\nqualifying here in Portugal to put a vice like grip on this 1\/8th IC<br \/>\nOff Road European Championship.<\/p>\n<p>I certainly can\u2019t remember such a crushing display, and one that left<br \/>\nhis rivals lost for words and clutching at straws to find an answer.<\/p>\n<p>Reigning European Champions Robber Battle qualified second, and was<br \/>\nDavide\u2019s closet challenger though never getting within 5 seconds of<br \/>\nhis time.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno Cohelo was a surprise 3rd overall the versatile Portuguese<br \/>\neliciting the help of Ty and Gord Tessman over from Canada to help set<br \/>\nup and run his car , with instant results as when left to just do the<br \/>\nstick work there are few Bruno\u2019s equal.<\/p>\n<p>Reigning world champion David Ronnefalk had a torrid time in<br \/>\nqualification with poor tyre choices and failures leaving him to<br \/>\nscrape into 4th overall, still without a decent set-up!<\/p>\n<p>Juan Carlos Canas was our 5th qualifier, and left rueing what might<br \/>\nhave been when a miscommunication in round 2 saw him come in to the<br \/>\npits when he still had another lap to complete, those lost points<br \/>\nwould have put him 3rd.<\/p>\n<p>The one factor none of the drivers can avoid is the oppressive heat,<br \/>\nwith 38C all thru Friday and the chance that the finals will be even<br \/>\nhotter
