Das letzte \u00c4nderung betrifft die Tourenwagenkarosserien. Seit \u00fcber 20 Jahren leitet und organisiert Scotty Rennveranstaltungen. Die Entwicklung der Karosserien ist stetig weitergegangen und es gibt nun ultraleichte, rein wei\u00dfen lackierten Karosserien und vieles mehr, die langsam un\u00fcbersichtlich werden.<\/p>\n
Beginnend mit der neuen ETS Season wird es ein Mindestgewicht von 90 Gramm f\u00fcr eine fahrfertige Karosserie geben. Das ETS-Team hat viel geforscht, gewogen und mit ihrer Rennfahrer-Familie sowie den Karosseriebauern gechattet, um eine L\u00f6sung zu finden. Die 90 Gramm sind das, was als Ergebnis erzielt wurde. Dieses Gewicht wird gemessen, wenn die Karosserie komplett fahrfertig ist. Spoiler, Aufkleber, Anti-Tuck-St\u00fctzen und Schaumstoffteile vorne, um die L\u00fccke zwischen Karosserie und Schaumstofframmer zu schlie\u00dfen, geh\u00f6ren dazu, wenn diese fest an der Karosserie befestigt sind. Zus\u00e4tzliches Gewicht oder Material, um Gewicht einzuhalten, ist nicht erlaubt. Alle derzeitigen Hersteller haben Karosserien, die diesem Gewicht entsprechen. Die Karosserien werden w\u00e4hrend der freien Trainings untersucht und markiert. Stichprobenartig wird kontrolliert w\u00e4hrend der Rennen\u00a0 ob das Gewicht geblieben ist.<\/p>\n

As August is in full swing, we hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying some good times. For me and Uwe, we are working hard to get things ready for the new ETS Season that will be here before we know it.<\/p>\n
For those of you who were at the season finale, you know about the changes we have planned for the new season. The main changes will be the addition of Bump Ups from lower finals. This will be a very exciting change giving everyone a chance to make the A final no matter how much bad luck you have in qualifying. Here is how it will work. The top 10 will still qualify for the A Final. B main and below will have 8 drivers in each. We will start at the lowest final and bump 1st & 2nd place finishers of Finals #1 to the next main, so if you finish in the top 2 in the F final #1, you would bump up to position 9 and 10 in the E final #1. If you finish #1 or #2 in the E final then you will bump up to position 9 and 10 in the D Final #1 and so on. But lets say you bump to the E Final #1 but finish 5th place, then you would stay in the E final #2 and #3 rounds. When we get to the B main. Only 1st place in B Final #1 will bump up to the A final making an 11 car A final. I have used this system in my Asian Onroad Championships for years and it works great!<\/p>\n
The next change we are adding for the new season, will be the addition of a 17.5 Stock Class for non sponsored drivers. It will be based much like our Pro Stock Class with a handout motor and fixed gear ratio but will be the perfect place for beginner to intermediate drivers to join the ETS without having to race against full factory drivers. A Sponsored driver is a racer who gets any kind of support from a Chassis, Body, Motor or Battery company. If you support your local hobby shop, and they give you a discount, that is fine and you will be able to run the Stock Class. We need a class for the average hobbies to join us and share in the fun we have and the new Stock Class will be just that.<\/p>\n
The final thing I want to talk about is the current situation with Touring Car bodies. I have been directing and organizing events for over 20 years. I have seen many things come and go through those years and one of them is ultra light bodies. We watched how this changed racing in the early years of Carpet Foam tire touring car racing and it was not a good thing. Fast forward to the current time and we have all witnessed how the quality of racing has been compromised by these paper thin bodies. What used to be a spectacle of beautiful prepared bodies with awesome paint designs is now filled with a one color wonders and my favorite white painted bodies \ud83d\ude42. Then let talk about the quality of racing since the ultra thin bodies. All we have now is close racing with many body tucks, the slightest tap or brush as you pass someone can tuck a body and ruin your race. That is all behind us now.
\nStarting in the new ETS Season, we will implement a 90 Gram minimum weight of a body shell ready to run. I have done much research, weighing and chatting with our family of racers as well as the body manufacturers to find a solution and 90 grams is what it is. This weight will be measured as the body is ready to race. Wing,Stickers, Anti Tuck supports and foam pieces in front to take up the gap between the body and bumper are all allowed when bringing the body for inspection. Extra tape or materieal added to the body to add weight will not be allowed. All current manufacturers have bodies that will make this weight. Going to this heavier weight will eliminate the Ultra Light bodies. Lightweight bodies will all make this 90 Gram limit if prepared properly. We will inspect all bodies during the free practice times and mark them to show they meet the 90 Gram limit and we will spot check bodies throughout the event to ensure everyone is meeting this limit. There is no downside to this rule, only positives. Bodies will last longer, Racing will be improved and we hope it brings the end to one color paint jobs and elevates the quality of racing and presentation we strive so hard to give in the ETS.
