\nMy name is Thilo Baldes, I live directly at the Nuerburgring and I am really looking forward to being part of the SMI XRAY Junior Team.
\nIt’s been over two years ago since I did my first race with an XRAY T4 and immediately in the 13.5T class. Now I’m eight years old, and with my new XRAY T4-20, my lap times and my consistency are getting better and better. My dad Joerg is my idol and my teacher, who explains to me very precisely how I have to prepare my car carefully and how I can improve the set-up. Usually my dad is a bit faster than me, but I’m getting closer and closer to him. Additional support I receive from my uncle Uwe, who takes care of everything organizational and parts procurement, and who has trusted in XRAY touring cars since the premiere of the T1 in 1999.
\nI like to race, in summer also in the 1\/8 nitro class, but I also like to practise on our Eifel-Ring. Driving, driving, driving – that’s how I get better and better, and it’s also fun, especially when we sit together in the paddock, eating pizza and talking about the next set-up change.
