Knapp 50 Teilnehmer*innen nutzten am Wochenende die Chance am Warmup in Potstein f\u00fcr den ersten Lauf der\u00a0Czech Nationals teilzunehmen. Mit einem Doppelsieg konnte Xray Fahrer Max G\u00f6tzl einen gelungenen Start in die Saison feiern.<\/p>\n

Race report by Max Gotzl<\/p>\n

The Czech Nationals warm-up race took a place last weekend in Potstejn for drivers to get to know the track and facility before the upcoming round 1 of 1\/10th Nationals.<\/p>\n

The event saw around 50 entries, which was about the limit for this race because of covid. It provided enough time for us to work on the setup through the race and get the cars working better. Unfortunately, the track saw a lot of rain in the previous days, which meant yet another wet race for us.<\/p>\n

I started off strong with taking all qualifying rounds with both XB2D\u201821 and XB4D\u201821. Jindrich Jirak placed his XB4 second on the grid and Petr Hartman took 3rd in 4WD. In 2WD, Josef Jilek took 2nd and Petr Hartman again 3rd. The track changed quite a bit through qualifying, as one side of the track dried up almost completely and the other half was still very wet. That meant I had to make some setup adjustment and get better feeling from the car.<\/p>\n

Going into the finals my cars were feeling very good, so I just again tried some ideas on the setup in order to achieve more consistency through the run. I was able to secure the overall double win after taking A1 and A2 with both my cars with the fastest laps on the track. In 4WD it was the XRAY podium of me, Jindrich Jirak in 2nd and Jan Johan in 3rd. With 2WD Josef Jilek secured his 2nd position, as well as Petr Hartman who secured his 3rd starting post.<\/p>\n

It was a very nice race with friendly atmosphere and useful for getting ready for the Nationals in a week\u2019s time. Now it\u2019s time to prepare the cars and get ready to race!<\/p>\n
