Am Wochenende konnte sich der Schweizer Patrick Fankhauser den nationalen Meistertitel in der Klasse 1\/10 Nitro mit seinem Xray NT1 <\/a>sichern. Ein toller Erfolg f\u00fcr Patrick, der vom letzten Rennen berichtet.<\/p>\n

Race report by Patrick Fankhauser<\/p>\n

XRAY NT1 and FX T300 crowned as Swiss national champion 2021!<\/p>\n

Last weekend the 4th round of Swiss nationals was held on the challenging track at Aigle. It\u2019s always difficult to find the right balance of the car. The track has many fast corners but also three hairpins and a tight chicane.<\/p>\n

Our basic setup worked very well. But under the hot conditions, during the qualifying, the car was hard to drive. With a few small setup changes the car was more consistent to drive and I was able to win all 4 rounds of qualifications. My teammate Traugott Schar ended up on 3rd position behind Serpent driver Emanuele Fonzar.<\/p>\n

On Sunday morning it was raining and the two semifinals from 1\/8 scale were running under wet conditions. Until to the two 45 minutes long A-mains the track was drying up and we could race on a dry track but with a little bit less traction compared to Saturday. Under this new conditions my car was not so fast like on Saturday but very smooth to drive and I was able to pull away from the rest of the field. Traugott was running out of tyres in the first half of the race. Unfortunately he lost one lap while he was on the rims and this coast him P2. So I won the race 2 laps in front of Emanuele and Traugott \u2013 TQ, fastest lap and win!<\/p>\n

Still one more round of Swiss championship to go at the fast track in Sitterdorf. But with four wins out of four rounds, we are Swiss champion 2021!<\/p>\n
