Das grundlegende Layout neuer Chassis glich in der Grundform dem Tamiya TRF 415. Der Schwerpunkt sank, LiPos hielten Einzug, das Gesamtgewicht<!--more--> wurde weniger, viele Optimierungen beim Flex erschienen. Doch seit einigen Jahren kommen immer wieder 1 &#8211; 2 neue konkurrenzf\u00e4hige Konzepte. Mit der gestiegenen Kapazit\u00e4t\/ Energiedichte der LiPo-Akkus und der effizienteren Brushlesstechnologie zogen sogenannte Shorty-Lipos in den Markt. Urspr\u00fcnglich f\u00fcr Buggys und Formelfahrzeugen konzipiert, erkannten die d\u00e4nischen Entwickler von Gizmo-Racing das Potenzial f\u00fcr ein neues Layout bei der Gewichtsverteilung. 2016 stellen sie den ersten reinen Shorty-LiPo-Tourenwagen in Serie her.<\/p>\n<p>Uns gaben sie Antworten zu den vielen Fragen des neuen Konzepts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikanews.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/gizmo_gz-1-12-e1461439576843.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[31835]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-32491 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/mikanews.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/gizmo_gz-1-12-e1461439576843.jpg\" alt=\"gizmo_gz-1 (12)\" width=\"850\" height=\"567\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong>\u00a0Gizmo \u2013 ein verr\u00fcckter Name. Woher stammt er? Welche Bedeutung hat er ?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Gizmo hat eigentlich keine Bedeutung. Wir dachten einfach,\u00a0 das klingt cool. Wir hatten auch andere Ideen wie z.B. MSM oder FXX, aber letztendlich blieb es bei Gizmo.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Seit wann existiert Gizmo?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Das ganze Projekt f\u00fcr eine 1:10-TW-Plattform begann zu Beginn des Jahres 2015. Die Firma existiert seit Mitte 2015.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Wer ist bzw. welche Personen stecken hinter Gizmo? Wer sind die Gr\u00fcnder?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Martin Christensen \u2013 ist bekannt als Nitrofahrer. Er gewann viele gro\u00dfe Meisterschaften w\u00e4hrend seiner Zeit als Nitrofahrer.<br \/>\nSteen Graversen \u2013 ist bekannt als langj\u00e4hriger Elektroracer. Er gewann viele gro\u00dfe Events und war auch nah am Gewinn bedeutender Meisterschaften.<\/p>\n<p>Martin Lissau \u2013 ist seit vielen Jahren bekannt\u00a0 in der Gro\u00dfmodellsportszene (VG5). Er gewann gro\u00dfe Events wie Welt- und Europameisterschaften. Er gewann auch den bekannten DHI Cup mit verschiedenen Elektrotourenwagen.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> War das Konzept mit Shorty-LiPo von Beginn an so ausgelegt oder gab es auch andere Konzepte zur Auswahl?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Wir haben immer an einer Plattform mit Shorty-LiPo gearbeitet. Wir glauben an die Vorteile der LiPo-Technologie und die Nutzung von Shortys, um die Gewichtsverteilung durch die Zentrierung des Antriebsstranges zu verbessern. Drumherum suchte man nach einer neuen, besseren Gewichtsverteilung.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Wo fanden die ersten Tests auf der Strecke statt?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Seit Anfang 2015 waren wir auf der Rennstrecke. Mit der Fertigstellung der ersten Prototypen verbrachten wir viel Zeit mit den Versuchen verschiedener Konfigurationen am Auto.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Ihr habt verschiedene Konfigurationen getestet (u.a. 3-Riemen-Antrieb), wann und wie habt ihr euch f\u00fcr die aktuelle L\u00f6sung entschieden?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Bei den fr\u00fchen Prototypen testeten wir eine 3-Riemen-Konfiguration, wir benutzten einfach eine Auslegung mit einem langen Riemen an der Seite wie es im Nitrobereich \u00fcblich ist.\u00a0 Die Balance war ungl\u00fccklicherweise nicht sehr gut. Andere Konfigurationen, wie z.B. ein langer Riemen vom Spool zum ersten Pulley, haben wir auch probiert. Aber in jedem Fall ergab die jetztige 2-Hauptzahnrad-L\u00f6sung eine bessere Gewichtsverteilung und sorgt f\u00fcr mehr Traktion.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_32490\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32490\" style=\"width: 850px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mikanews.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/gizmo_gz-1-11-e1461439622470.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[31835]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-32490 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/mikanews.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/gizmo_gz-1-11-e1461439622470.jpg\" alt=\"gizmo_gz-1 (11)\" width=\"850\" height=\"483\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-32490\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">In vielen Versuchen stellte sich diese L\u00f6sung als beste f\u00fcr das Gizmo-Team heraus. Mittiger Motor, 2 Riemen und zwei Hauptzahnr\u00e4der in der Chassismitte sind die Merkmale vom GZ-1.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Mit eurer Auslegung ist es durch die 2 Hauptzahnr\u00e4der m\u00f6glich einen Underdrive bzw. einen Overdrive zu fahren (Anmerkung: gab es beim Team Losi XXX-S bereits).\u00a0 Habt ihr diese Setupoption auch getestet? Habt ihr diese M\u00f6glichkeit von Anfang an geplant gehabt?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Wir hatten diese Option an unseren fr\u00fcheren Prototypen, aber wir fanden es nie wirklich gut auf Teppich. Vielleicht macht es auf Asphalt mehr Sinn. Aber ja, es ist m\u00f6glich Underdrive\/Overdrive relativ einfach durch den Tausch eines Hauptzahnrades durch eines mit unterschiedlicher Z\u00e4hnezahl zu nutzen.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Wann ist der Verkaufsstart f\u00fcr den deutschen Markt geplant? Gibt es einen Distributor f\u00fcr Deutschland?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Wir planen zum Anfang Mai mit dem Versand zu beginnen. Deswegen arbeiten wir eifrig am Beenden der letzten Details. Deutsche werden \u00fcber Tonisport das Auto und weitere Teile erhalten.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong>\u00a0Wer geh\u00f6rt alles zum Rennteam?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Im Moment haben wir kein gro\u00dfes Team. Nach dem Verkaufsbeginn werden wir sehen, ob es m\u00f6glich sein wird, mehr Fahrer zu unterst\u00fctzen und mehr Pr\u00e4senz auf den Strecken zu zeigen.<\/p>\n<p>Gizmo-Teamfahrer sind Adrian Berntsen (Norwegen)und Patrick Folman (D\u00e4nemark).<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Wie lange dauerte es vom ersten Gedanken bis zum Endergebnis (Baukastenfahrzeug im Verkauf)?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Von der ersten Idee zum abgeschlossenen Projekt dauerte es fast 1,5 Jahre.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Das Baukastenauto ist fertig. Welche Teile sind mit dabei (Stabilisator, Federn, etc. ..)?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Wir haben versucht ein &#8222;Full-Option-Car&#8220; f\u00fcr die Produktion zu erstellen. Der Baukasten enth\u00e4lt viele hochwertige Teile, wie Blades mit Kugellagern, Lenkungseinheit aus Aluminium, Querlenker aus Aluminium und Karbon und Radtr\u00e4ger aus Aluminium.\u00a0 Zus\u00e4tzlich sind im Baukasten weitere Federn und Stabilisatoren.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Der GZ1 sieht sehr leichtgewichtig aus. Wie ist das Gesamtgewicht ungef\u00e4hr? Wie viel Gewicht muss man zuf\u00fcgen?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Der Baukasten enth\u00e4lt ein mittiges Gewicht. Abh\u00e4ngig von der verwendeten Elektronik muss man noch zwischen 20-30 Gramm zuf\u00fcgen.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong>\u00a0Gizmo sah sehr gut aus zum ETS Finale 2015 in Trencin und auch beim DHI Cup 2016. Beim Hot Race in Italien fuhr Patrick Folman auf das erste international besetzte Podium. Welche gro\u00dfen Rennen werdet ihr als Team besuchen? Welche Platzierungen wollt ihr 2016 noch erreichen?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Die Leistung des Autos ist vielversprechend. Wir arbeiten auch immer hart, um bessere Rundenzeiten zu erzielen. Wir besuchen weitere Rennen der ETS, nationale Rennserien und die nordeurop\u00e4ische Meisterschaft. Hoffentlich kommen im Sommer noch ein paar Rennen dazu. Das wird sicher interessant.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Plant Gizmo Racing noch weiter Produkte in der n\u00e4chsten Zeit?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Ja, es wird mehr Neuigkeiten von uns im Sommer geben \ud83d\ude42 .<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Als neue Firma in den Tourenwagenbereich einzusteigen ist wie der Gang in den Pool voller Haie. Warum habt ihr diese Sparte der RC-Cars gew\u00e4hlt? Was meint ihr, seid ihr ein neuer Hai oder ein cleverer Goldfisch in diesem Pool?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Sicher, 1:10 Elektro ist kein leichter Markt f\u00fcr den Einstieg. Ich denke, es ist eine der h\u00e4rtesten, wenn nicht sogar der h\u00e4rteste \u00fcberhaupt. Es ist sehr komplex, eine neue Plattform zu etablieren und nicht nur eine weitere Kopie zu produzieren. Mit den gro\u00dfen Firmen, wie Xray, Yokomo usw. , zu konkurrieren wird nicht einfach werden. Aber wir sind bereit daf\u00fcr und werden unser Bestes geben. Wir betrachten unser Auto als neue Benchmark f\u00fcr Tourenwagen, nicht als weitere Kopie. Ich w\u00fcrde uns als cleveren Goldfisch in der Sch\u00fcssel sehen, der hoffentlich in der Lage sein soll, eines Tages zum Hai heranzuwachsen \ud83d\ude42 .<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Okay, Danke f\u00fcr die vielen Antworten. We also had other ideas like MSM or FFX but ended up with Gizmo.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Since when does gizmo exist?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Gizmoracing: The whole project to build a 1:10 TC platform started early 2015. The company have existed since mid 2015.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> who\/ which person(s) is\/ are gizmo?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Martin Christensen \u2013 known from nitro classes. Martin has won big championships like world championship and european championship. he also won dhi cup in the past years.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> was from the beginning stated that it is a shorty touring car or were still other concepts to choose from?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> We have always been working on a platform there where using a shorty Lipo. We believe that taking advantage of the lipo battery technologies and using a shorty to improve weight balance by center the drivetrain will be the future of 1:10 electric racing.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> Where did the first tests were conducted on the track?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> We have been on the track from the beginning of 2015. But in any case the two spur gear platform give a better balance and generates more traction.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> it is possible to drive an under or overdrive with the 2 spur gears. Do you tested this setup options already? Did you have planned this possibility from the outset as a setup option?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> We had this option in our early prototypes, but we never found it very good on carpet. Maybe on asphalt it makes more sense. But yes it is possible to use under\/over drive by changing one of the spurgears to a different size.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> When is\u00a0 the sale release planned for germany? There is any distributor for the german market?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> We are planing to start shipping 1\/5-2016. So we are pushing very hard to finish up the last details. The kits includes lots of high quality parts like ball bearing outdrive blades, fully aluminium steering mount, carbon and aluminium wishbones, aluminium uprights. The kits include also optional springs and rollbars.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong> The\u00a0 GZ1 looks very lightweight. How is the whole weight race ready? How much addiotional weight do i have to use?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> The kits include a center weight. It depends on electronics but normally you shoud ad between 20-35g.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Mikanews:<\/strong>\u00a0Gizmo looked very well at ets final 2015 in trencin and\u00a0 also at dhi cup 2016. At hot race in italy in march patrick folman reached the first international podium. Which big races you will attend as a whole race team ? which placements you may seek to have for 2016?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Performance is very promising. We are always working hard to find more speed. We are attending the rest of ETS series, national series and nordic championship. What do you mean, are you a new shark or a smart goldfish in the pool?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Gizmoracing:<\/strong> Sure 1\/10 electric is not a easy market to enter. I think it is one of the hardest if not the hardest. It is very complex to do a new platform and not just another copy. Competing with big companies like Xray, Yokomo ect. Will sure not be easy. But we are up for the challange and will do our best. We consider our car as a new benchmark for touringcar platform and not just another copy.
