Das Fahrzeug basiert auf einem Boxer Motor, welcher im mittleren-<!--more-->vorderen Bereich montiert ist und verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber Heckantrieb. Mit 2+2 Sitzen und aufgrund der Bauform ist es ein Sportcoupe, das ab 2012 produziert wurde. Der Subaru BRZ basiert auf der selben Plattform wie der Toyota 86 jedoch mit einer etwas anderen Instrumententafel, anderem K\u00fchlergrill und Scheinwerfern als auch einer anderen Sto\u00dfstange. BRZ steht dabei f\u00fcr Boxer Motor, Hinterradantrieb und das &#8222;Z&#8220; steht f\u00fcr Zenit.
