In einem spannenden Qualifikationstraining in Noeux les Mains gab es einen unerwarteten TQ bei den E-Buggy Championships.
Die Strecke hier in Frankreich ist anspruchsvoll und verfügt über alle möglichen Untergründe , wie Kunstrasen , Lehm, zwei Arten von Beton, um nur einige zu nennen, ein Faktor, der die Reifenwahl zu einem großen Problem für alle Fahrer machte.
Bei 5 Vorläufen, wovon drei gewertet wurden, war Konstanz der Schlüssel zum Erfolg gewesen. Der monegassische Fahrer Thomas Musso, der die Runde eins in guter Form absolvierte, wurde durch den Franzosen Jean Perrik Sartel im zweiten Vorlauf getoppt, der sich in eine gute Ausgangsposition fuhr. Trotz aller großen Namen von der Nitro 1: 8 Klasse, war es der amtierende Champion David Ronnefalk, der auf sich aufmerksam machte. In Vorlauf 4 gab es einen harten Kampf um die Spitze, die zu Gunsten des Franzosen endete. Sartel holte den TQ vor Ronnefalk und Musso.
Das Finale wird morgen dreimal mit je 10 Minuten dauern und verspricht für Spannung. Auf Platz 5 folgt Davide Ongaro, dann Juan Carlos Cana, Robert Battle auf 7 und Elliot Boots auf 8.
Burak Kilic liegt auf Platz 15, Berkan KILIC auf 23, Philipp LUTGERT auf 34 und der DMC ORE Refert auf 76.
Für Burak und Berkan besteht noch die Chance auf das Finale. Viel Glück.

An intriguing days qualifying here in Noeux les Mains saw an unexpected TQ for the E-Buggy Championships.
The track here in France is compact and features every possibly surface – Astro, Brick, Dirt, Two types of Concrete to name but some, a factor that was making tyre choice a major headache for all the drivers.
With 5 rounds of Qualifying and 3 to count, consistency would be key and straight out of the box we saw Monegasque driver Thomas Musso take round one in fine style. Local racer Jean Perrik Sartel then took the next 2 rounds to put him in a great position for overall pole. Despite all the big names of Nitro 1/8thbeing in attendance, the only „superstar“ who could get close to the two French speaking drivers was reigning champion David Ronnefalk with a brace of 2ndplaces.
Round 4 saw an epic battle that eventually went the way of the Frenchman, so Sartel was TQ. Ronnefalk finally got a round win in the final qualifier which was enough to scrape him past Musso for 2ndon the grid.
The finals will be over 3, x 10 minute legs, and should be incredibly keenly fought with drivers such as Davide Ongaro in 4th, Juan Carlos Canas in 5thRobert Battle in 7thand Elliot Boots 8th– all hoping to get amongst the top 3 qualifiers.
