XRS Poland ProCircuit Race Report

Was für ein außergewöhnliches und tolles Wochenende. Dies war bisher der Größte und herausfordernster Wettbewerb des Jahres in Polen.

Zuerst die Strecke – super Grip vom ersten heißen Tag an, eben wie eine Tischplatte, dann kam viel Regen und noch mehr Grip. Der RC Wlodawa um Tomek Ptaszynski hatte großartige Arbeit geleistet und den Teilnehmern nicht nur die beste Strecke in Polen beschert, sondern auch Grill, Beleuchtung für ein Nachtrennen, großartige sanitäre Bedingungen und Läden mit Teilen und Reifen für RC-Autos sind vorhanden. Außerdem gab es die ganze Zeit ein Live-Streaming mit 6 Kameras auf Youtube, Interviews und Rennkommentaren.

Es wurden 5 Klassen: IC8 Buggy, IC8 Truggy, ET8 Buggy, ET8 Truggy und sehr beliebte offene Klassen für Neulinge gefahren In allen Buggy-Klassen waren die Reifen begrenzt und vorgeschrieben. Die Reifen von Procircut wurden markiert und in der TA kontrolliert (nur 3 Sätze für 1 Auto). Zum ersten Mal gab es 10-minütige Vorläufe, bei denen es darum ging, dass die Nitros mindestens einen Boxenstopp einlegen sollten – jetzt ist nicht nur der Fahrer wichtig, sondern das TEAM ist das Wichtigste. Superschnelle Tankpistole zum Auftanken war für ein gutes Ergebnis unerlässlich!

What an extraordinary and full of joy weekend. Biggest, fastest and most challenging competition of the year in Poland.

First of all track – super grip from first hot day, flat as table, then huge rain and even more grip for all time (yes diffs were burning !). RC Wlodawa – Tomek Ptaszynski did great job and gave us not only best track ever in Poland but also grill, night racing option (lights all around track), great sanitary conditions and shops with parts and tires for rc cars. Also we had full time live streaming of competition from 6 cameras on youtube, interviews, race comment all the time.

Lets go to racing stuff. We had 5 categories: IC8 buggy, IC8 truggy, ET8 buggy, ET8 truggy and very popular open clas for newbies! In all buggy classes we had controlled marked procircut tires (only 3 sets for 1 car). For first time ever we had 10 minute quali races with demand of getting pitstop (fuel) – that changed a lot – now not only driver matters but TEAM is most important thing. Super fast pistol for refueling was essential for good result!

In my personal opinion race was very demanding for all drives, constantly changing track conditions made me changing my setup from race to race pretty much. I had a lot of struggle with nitro buggy class where I burned two servos but after all I did find my gold setup there and Sunday races were really good in both classes. Took TQ in nitro truggy and 4th position in nitro buggy. That kicked even more energy in me!

In finals I won the nitro truggy class, and managed to take 2nd spot in nitro buggy class – after most amazing young guy I know – Bartek Zalewski (not to mention his father Rafal who did so much work on cars … damm). Also i would like to thank Bartosz Pawlow for best pit stops in main finals, no mistakes there buddy!
