Verstärkt ist Xray in den USA aktiv in den letzten Monaten. Gerade Alexander Hagberg und andere Fahrer wagen immer wieder den Weg von Europa über den großen „Teich“. Am letzten Wochenende ging es zu den HUDY Champs 2023 beim Prolevel RC in Chesterfield.

The 2023 HUDY Champs was held at the great facilities of Prolevel RC in Chesterfield, MO. The event was held on the weekend of 5-8 of January, and saw a total of 157 entries spread on 10 different classes. The XRAY and RC America team was in attendance, and ready to race it out in every class!
The modified TC class saw a close fight between myself and Keven Hebert in qualifying. Eventually Keven would secure the TQ spot after winning round 4, which he converted into a win in the single A-final. I held on to 2nd place, and our team manager Drew Ellis finished in a strong 4th place!

In modified 1/12, qualifying was a close affair between Kemp Anderson and myself. In the end, I came short of just about 1 second to the TQ spot which was won by Kemp. In the end, Kemp managed to drive a faultless main final which awarded him the win. I finished in 2nd, a few seconds adrift, and Keven Hebert rounded out the podium in 3rd!

Stock TC saw Marc Livermore take the TQ spot for the team. But unfortunately, some tough luck in the main saw Marc drop down to 3rd overall! Marc showed great pace all weekend, and certainly deserved a better result!

The popular VTA class was won by our team driver Brandan Hickson! Brandan converted his TQ into a win with his X4’23 chassis! David Cox and Tirone Jefferson rounded out an all-XRAY podium!

In the competitive GT12 class, Skip Starkey finished in a strong runner up spot with an XRAY X12 car!

Super Stock TC saw Marc Livermore once again show great pace to qualify 2nd, only to be demoted to 3rd overall in the standings in the main final! Marc secured his 2nd podium of the weekend!

In the well-attended USGT category, our team driver Andrew Doherty put in a great performance by TQing and winning the class with his X4’23 car! Well done Andrew!

Formula 1 saw a good performance by Chris Lockhart in the main, securing the runner up spot, charging hard to chase down the winner. Chris is using an XRAY X1 chassis!

I want to send out a special thanks to the Ellis family, as well as all the Prolevel RC crew for a stellar event! The race saw a lot of new faces, which shows that on-road carpet racing is healthy, and growing!
