Schumacher GP 2018 bei MB Models

Am Samstag, dem 30. Dezember 2017 fand das letzte Rennen im Schumacher-Kalender MB-Models statt. Auf dem Terminplan stand der Schumacher-GP auf ihre schönen Anlage in der Nähe von Leeds in Großbritannien.

In der Klasse GT12-Klasse wurde mit Contact-Reifen (mit dem grünen Streifen) gefahren, um Chancengleichheit zu gewähren. Dagegen war die Reifenwahl in der Klasse LPM12 freigestellt. Eine Reifenbeschränkung gab es ausserdem in der Klasse Tourenwagen. In dieser Klasse waren die Sorex 28RK-Reifen vorgeschrieben. Schon Monate zuvor war das Event mit den 60 GT12, 20 LMP12 und 18 Tourenwagen-Fahrer ausgebucht.

Schumacher zeigte sich zufrieden mit dem fantastischen Event. Die besten Drei jeder Klasse gingen mit einer Box mit Schokolade nach Hause und die Gewinner bekamen ein Set-up-Board von Schumacher.

Schumacher GP 2018 at MB Models

Saturday the 30th December saw the final race in the Schumacher Calendar with MB models hosting the Schumacher GP at their awesome facility near Leeds in the UK.

The main GT12 class was run on Contact green stripe control tyres, LPM12 was open tyres and Touring on Sorex 28RK tyres.

The meeting had been fully booked for months in anticipation, with 60 GT12, 20 LMP12 and 18 Touring drivers lining up to do battle in the 4 qualifier 1 final format.

In GT12 it was new Schumacher driver Adam Catchpole at his first large event with Schumacher doing battle at the top with Schumacher’s own Andy Murray. These two we’re slightly ahead of the chasing pack and the A final lined up as follows;

3) Mark Jewitt – Schumacher Atom
4) Ian Joyner – Schumacher Atom
5) Craig Mawson – Schumacher Atom
6) Nial Cochran – Zen
7) Greg Williams – Schumacher Atom
8) Josh Coult – Schumacher Atom
9) Ben Elliott – Zen
10) Scott Morton – Schumacher Atom

Adam took a flag to flag victory followed by Andy and Ian Joyner.

In the LMP12 support class Schumacher’s Ben Vincent took a dominant TQ and victory from young Louis Parker, both driving the Eclipse chassis with Graham Raistrick coming home in the final podium position after a strong day.

In the Touring Support class, Scott Scholey took TQ from Schumacher’s Chris Ashton and host Michael Ball. In the final Scott struggled in the first few corners allowing Chris to nip by and take a comfortable victory. Scott was second with Michal third.

A fantastic meeting was had by all at this excellent facility, thank you to the drivers for making the trip and congratulations to the winners.

The top three in each class went home with chocolate selection boxes and the winners a Set up board from Schumacher.
