I’m reaching out to let you know that I’ve decided to finally finish my book. I originally wrote it back in 2018 (as the reader will see, it includes photos I prepared using my RC8B3), but due to time constraints in my life, I wasn’t able to edit, illustrate, revise, and publish it until now.
With this book, my goal has always been to reach as many people as possible from all around the world and bring them into this amazing sport/hobby we have—because the RC industry truly needs it! So if you have access or you carry on other media for real motorsport it would also be good to share the news of this book.
It’s a book designed to attract and introduce people who don’t really know RC yet, drawing them in and inviting them to explore our world. It’s written in a direct, personal tone, as if I were speaking one-on-one with the reader—close and approachable. It also includes many videos that help convey the atmosphere you experience at RC races.
At the same time, the book has a strong technical side, with in-depth knowledge and setup explanations depending on track conditions. It’s especially aimed at beginners or those who’ve been in RC for a short time and are looking for guidance on how to improve, progress quickly, and make their learning curve faster and more successful.
It’s a book with a different approach from anything I’ve seen—it doesn’t intimidate readers who have no prior RC knowledge. It’s friendly, engaging, and sparks curiosity about our RC world. With this book, I also encourage other top drivers—or former top drivers like myself—to do something similar, so we can all have a little piece of each driver at home.
I’ve now published my book, where I want to share my essence (the DV essence) with the world. Many of you know that I had the chance to win the World Championship three times—very close calls in Coimbra, Furulund, and Jakarta but due to mechanical issues, it wasn’t meant to be. Still, I did win the European Championship and the Spanish Championship several times.
Even just as a keepsake, having a piece of me and a part of RC history makes it something special to have on your bookshelf. The full-color edition is especially worth it.
